The Bug Fixes Archive Viewer (also referred to as the BFAV) a collaboration tool used for developing the Squeak image contents in a distributed way by all contributors.

Concretely, it is a handy tool that makes it easy to comment on proposed fixes and enhancements for Squeak. The BFAV enables you to browse the Bug Fixes Archive, evaluate the changeset(s) for a given post, and correctly post a comment to the Squeak Mailing List -- all from within the Squeak image.

The BFAV client was replaced by the BFAV2 client at the end of 2003. The original BFAV server went offline in 2003(formerly at sqfixes and sqbugs). The BFAV package was marked on SqueakMap as obsolete (renamed as "BFAV-old") early in 2004. Since the backend is no longer available, the BFAV-old package has been removed from SqueakMap.

As of summer of 2005 all new bug reporting and harvesting tracking takes place on the Squeak Mantis Server. BFAV2 can continue to be used to look at past reports but no new reports or updates will be added to the database any longer.
