Personal info for BertFreudenberg

This person is currently certified at Master level.

Name: Bert Freudenberg

Homepage: http://croquetweak.blogspot.com/

Notes: I have been a Squeaker since the last century. Besides miscellaneous fixes and enhancements to the image I have been contributing to the UnixVM (for example, the browser plugin and OpenGL support). I have been working on Croquet and Tweak. Currently I am busy getting Squeak onto the One Laptop Per Child.

My tip: Visit Squeakland to get the bigger idea of what Squeak is intended to be.

The internationalized Squeakers DVD is coming along nicely. We had a first version with English and German subtitles and menus done late in December. Now there are Japanese and Portuguese subtitles, too. Should be finished in a few weeks.

Oh, and I started working for impara, squeaking full-time. I'm feelin' thuper, thanks for asking ;-)

I had a look at Dandelion (also on SqueakMap) for generating class documentation. A very nice tool! It was broken in 3.6 because of the change in shared pools. These are classes now and implement only the essential protocol the Compiler needs (#bindingOf: etc.). I posted a fix, but it is rather ugly because the code now has to distinguish between class pools (which are dictionaries) and shared pools (which are classes). Maybe we should add a #bindings message, which would always return a dictionary. This would allow the same protocol to be used for all pools.
